Rick Oliver invited me to photograph Johnny Rawls at the Sapphire Room here in Boise, Idaho. The setting is low light, so it’s challenging to take pictures of musicians on stage at this venue. High ISO’s are a must. At The Sapphire Room, I always park myself behind the mixer board in the back of the room and shoot with a 70-200mm lens. If I move around to get closeups, I use a 50mm prime.
