Pictures taken at the Boise Depot

The Boise Depot is at a higher elevation than downtown Boise is because it’s on a sort of cliff called The Bench. The depot sits at the end of a long road called Capitol Boulevard which runs from The Depot (which is up on The cliff/Bench) and runs straight to The Capitol Building in downtown. So if you’re at The Boise Depot, you can look all the way down Capitol Boulevard and see all the cars and pedestrians and bicyclists, and eventually, The Capitol Building. I live less than a block from The Depot, and I go there frequently to take pictures of downtown Boise because The Depot, being on that sort of cliff (The Bench), overlooks downtown. These photographs are the first serious attempt at photographing Capitol Boulevard and downtown Boise.
